  1. Thanks for your helpful replies and suggestions. Per some of them, I checked the spare and it is well inflated. So I reset the system and so far it has stayed off. It very well could be due to temps dropping, so lets see how it holds up. To A/M - I dont think anyone is suggesting that the ABS be shut off, the poster was pointing the location of the TPM reset switch which happens to be right next to ABS button (below the steering wheel). Appreciate your responses.
  2. Hi, I have a Lexus ES350, bought back in Feb 2007. I have never had to add air to the tires and the car has been serviced twice, the prior visit to the dealer was in Jan 2008. Since last week, the TPM light has come on (and stays on) as I turn the car on. I checked the pressure - it is 34-35 PSI on all 4 wheels (the normal recommended is 30 PSI). Would appreciate a response: Should I be bringing the pressure down on all 4 tires down to 30PSI? Should I take the car to the dealer? Thanks.
  3. Hi, I am curious - does someone know if the touch screen is a Cap or a Resistive type? Who makes these screens and what kind of Si chips are bing used? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi, I noticed that I have a tiny (1mm X 1mm) chip on the hood of the car. My guess is that a tiny gravel or some similar thing has stuck it while on the freeway (I drive it 40 miles on the freeway each weekday) causing the chip. Can anyone offer suggestion on what should be done? Is there an easy DIY fix or some other reasonable option (i.e. I'd like to avoid getting the hood or the entire car repainted)? One option obiously is to leave it alone, but I'd like to know if there's a downside to that and suggestions on ways to fix this. thanks in advance for your suggestions.
  5. Thanks for all your replies. I havent paid particular attention, but I will keep that in mind if I see it again.
  6. Hi, I bought my car in Feb'07. In April'07, I noticed 1-2 times that there was a straight thin line running vertically across the screen when I was backing up. I noticed this thin (whitish) line, once or twice. It didnt reoccur after that. I noticed the same line (shifted to a different location on the screen) recently. I again saw it 1-2 times and now when I backup I dont see any such line. Has anyone reported this issue? Any suggestions? The car is under warranty for a the next few years, so I am not super concerned, but should I report to a dealer about this ASAP? Given the sporadic nature, its probably going to be difficult to reporoduce this issue. Suggestions welcome and thanks in advance.
  7. Its not that bad, not interfering with anything and is barely visible. Will get this product. thanks.
  8. Hi, Looks like my nav screen has developed a scratch (possibley due to the sun visor brushing aginst it, while I was removing it). Is there a way to remove the scratch? Since the nav screen is a touch screen, I want to be esp careful. Thanks.
  9. Do you have the Mark Levinson sound system in your car? If you don't, then you can't play Video DVD's. 1. DO YOU HAVE A DVD SLOGAN ON YOUR STEREO SYSTEM????? 2. WHEN YOU PUSH THE KNOB TO TURN ON YOUR AUDIO SYSTEM DOES IT SAYS DVD CHANGER??? 3. SEND US THE PICTURE OF YOUR CONSOLE 4. CHECK OUR THE PICTURE I POSTED BEFORE IN MY REPLY. DO THEY MATCH??? IF ALL ABOVE IS NO, THEN YEA! MIGHT AS WELL GET A HOME THEATRE :-) No - I dont have a DVD slogan or the Mark Levinson system. It appears from the posts and the pics that I dont have the system. Thanks all for your timely and detailed responses. ;)
  10. Hi, In reading through the manual, it appears that the Nav unit supports DVD playing capabilities (i.e. I dont see the customary, "If your car supports it" disclaimer. However I've had no luck in getting to play it (I see the "Check 1XX" message). The manual indicates that all DVDs with the "DVD Video" should play, but I've had no luck with the DVDs I tried. Would like to hear from others who've been able to. Question: Is the DVD an optional item or is it part of my Nav (I have the package one below the ultra package). Thanks in advance.
  11. Hi, I am trying to synch up my Motorola Razr v3 with the car. The problem is that the phone seems to be doing it 1 by 1. I know it is really a phone issue, not an issue with the Car Nav system. But if someone has run into a similar situation and have figured an easy way to transfer phones, I would be highly appreciative in understanding it. Regards.
