  1. Lux Pkg and ML are totally separate options--there is no Lux "with" ML. I wanted the Lux Pkg mostly for the memory seats--I probably would not have bought this car if they couldn't locate one (that's not true--I would have special ordered). I also like the tilt and auto dim mirrors. The rain sensing wipers, power adjustable steering wheel and sunshade I could take or leave. I like the illuminated scuff plates too, but this is a relatively cheap DIY if you don't get the Lux Pkg. Yes, I know ML is totally separate from lux package. Should have worded differently. Just meant to say that wow...love ALL of the features in mine - really sets it apart from all the rest.
  2. I have the Luxury package (+ 18" wheels) on mine minus the Levinson. Love everything about it! Selling the car now so I can get a fancy show horse. =( Hate to do it as it took MONTHS to find this car! Feel like the lux package is well worth it, so if you can hold out for it, do so!
  3. Sigh...it's hard to be patient when you've sold your 2 year old, bought new Scion tc, and have to tool around in your mother's 84 Honda with 307k miles, but...I want the perfect car at a great price. Guess I'll HAVE to be patient! Thanks for the offer rubberdukee...search away! My zip is 22701 and I might be convinced to drive 300 miles for one. Prefer under 200, but hey...last year I drove out of state...by myself...with a truck and trailer for a 30k horse that I got for 4k. Still happy about that one! So...if it's the right price I'll go just about anywhere...
  4. Wow...rubberduckee, that sounds GREAT! I guess I do have time on my side. Sold my Scion tc, but have mom's old 84 Honda to drive around in until I find one. Even willing to drive out of state. Sigh...guess I'll sit and wait...wonder if there's any truth to cheaper end of the month dealing...
  5. I've checked out auto trader. Asking seems to be in the 36-37k range. Thought I might be able to talk the dealer down to 34/35. Wanted everyone's thoughts and especially good salesman/contact recommendations!
  6. Hi all, I'm in the market for a used IS 250...or possibly a 350. Either way, I want silver or granite exterior with navigation and wood trim. Not terribly picky past that, but of course, the more loaded the better! Just curious as to what these vehicles are going for. Mileage I've seen so far is in the 8-15k range which is fine by me. I would LOVE to pick up and IS 350 for 34k, but that's seems like too far of a stretch. I'm already preapproved for a 28k loan (actually for 50k! I couldn't imagine the payments on THAT kind of loan!!!) from my credit union and have 7500 cash to put down. Does that give me any kind of negotiting power i.e. easy, straighforward sale? I'm in VA but willing to drive to MD, WV, and probably NJ, PA area and maaaaaybe NC. Any dealer recommendations? Any dealers to stay away from (besides Silver Spring)?
  7. Add me to the list of people put off by Lexus of Silver Spring! I was completely insulted by their offer of 11k for trade in of my Scion. I informed them that another Lexus dealer had offered 12k sight unseen! We decided to leave as I had several private party calls and someone even wanted to meet that day to see it. Our conversation ended with 32,500/33000 being the bottom line they could sell their 06 IS 250 w/ nav at with no trade in. I sold my Scion that afternoon (for full asking price of 14,500!), called today and suddenly they can't do 33k for the 250 I was looking at with 8,033 miles but they could for another 250 with 13/14k miles and not nearly the same package (lux I believe) as the other one - also had damage to a front fender. I am thoroughly disgusted with them. I should have known better. I wandered around three vehicles they had on the lot in front of the completely glass showroom/sales floor for a good five minutes. I then had to go FIND a salesman who seemed like he could care less about anything. The cars were dirty inside with scuffs all over the backs of the seats and dirt and crud everywhere - in fact the one I wanted had dried food under the seat! We didn't even drive one because it was completely on empty!!! No offer to fill the tank while we drove the other one (a 350 also on empty!) I was fed up at that point and just drove the 350 around a nearby parking lot in case it ran out completely...we're talking the orange gas light was glowing!). At least the other 250 had a half tank... The sales manager that day (Mr. Ahnn I believe) was not helpful in the least. I think I might copy this post to the general sales manager and corporate Lexus. Perhaps I wasn't buying a $60k car, but geez...30K+ isn't exactly chump change! I expected a LOT more...a local Toyota dealer was MUCH more helpful than these guys!
  8. PM me if you can...I did a search...couldn't quite figure out what the 06 IS 250 (AWD or even RWD) is going for at these auctions.
