  1. Hi, have you checked that you have calibrated your compass? I wouldn't think that it would be that far off even if you haven't, but it doesn't hurt to try. The info is in your owner's manual. Good luck.
  2. I have the Luxury + Premium package in my AWD. Of course I would prefer to have the brushed stainless finish instead of the wood, but then I will accept it since I really like the ventilated seats.
  3. Hey Tango, Could you elaborate as to why the 220d is that poor, since you have driven both and been able to compare? :)
  4. I am sure it's more than that... Here is my calculation. Assumptions: Fuel Economy: IS250 AWD / IS220d (US MPG): 22 / 31 Cost per Gallon (California average in USD) Premium / Diesel: $3.80 / $4.20 Annual mileage: 15,000 It would cost $2590.91 in gas for the IS250 AWD and $2032.26 for the IS220d. Net difference is $558.65.
  5. Sure diesel cost is higher, but with higher MPG it is worth it in the end, no?
  6. I feel your pain... I got one shortly after picking up my IS. I was on the highway and took a wrong turn and had to back track a bit, and that was when I got a rock chip. I took it to the glass shop to get it filled right away, and so far it hasn't spread (over a year now.) I hear that if you have rain sensing systems, the windshields are ridiculously expensive to replace. Is that true?
  7. My friend has an 07 IS350 without NAV, and the local Lexus dealership installed the Motorola Car BT unit. He hasn't had any complaints. The controls were mounted on the dash, left of the steering wheel.
  8. What about this? http://www.lexus-parts.com/parts_detail.as...90066&all=Y I noticed that it was "discontinued." A remote start is certainly nice to have. I had a CompuStar on my 2000 CR-V manual. However, I do find that my IS climate control is pretty good, couple that with the heated seats. :)
  9. Well Randy, I totally understand where you are coming from. A lot of shops in town actually charge more to deal with cars with TPMS, because they have to take more care when doing tire changes. I would feel more comfortable taking it to Lexus, but expect them to charge you more for the tires as well. One alternative would be buying your tires somewhere else and have Lexus do the install. So if they bust the TPMS or whatever else, it's their responsibility to fix that. By the way, the Bridgestones are awful on snow. I have that on my IS250 AWD, and I am really thinking about getting something else. I was driving to a friend's house, and with not much snow on the ground, I lost control turning left. Heck, I was going only maybe 20 km/h too. I hit the brakes, but it was still sliding forward. Fortunately, I was in a residential area with no cars near. *sigh*
  10. Hi fellow Lexus owners, My first post, and I know that this was brought up a while ago. Now that competitors such as BMW are planning on offering diesel versions in North America, do you think Lexus would bring the IS220d over. I was toying with the idea of importing one from Europe, but with all the talks about 15+ year old JDMs causing trouble (with RHD), I don't know how hard it would be to do so. Don't get me wrong. I love my IS250 AWD (except my OEM tires -- being in Canada), but man gas prices are really hurting me. :(
