  1. Lexus are known for the bad power steering pump seals. I have 310K miles on my SC. My pump started to leak around 120K miles. I figured I would try some stop leak first before paying $300 for a new one. Try Lucas power steering stop leak. I drained my pump and put two bottles of that stuff in. It stopped the leak on the seal in about 2 days. I am still using my original pump today. I figured $16 to fix a $300 problem, isn't that bad. That Lucas stuff do work.
  2. Yep. All you have to do is replace the O ring.... . Just remember where to mark the rotor and the housing, before you pull it out to replace it. Have fun.
  3. I had that problem a few years ago. Best to do while cold. Spray Some WD40 down the spark plug area and let it sit for 15 mins or so. Then slowly work on breaking the seal on the spark plug. You may have to go with a back and fourth motion when loosing the spark plug. You may have some carbon deposits built up on the end of the spark plug thats making it difficult to pull out. I would put some anti siege compound on the new spark plugs before installing.
  4. Hi Guys, do you all know if there is a known problem with the power mirrors in the SC series. I have a 93. Both of my side view mirrors stopped working. I don’t even know when. I can’t seem to locate the correct fuse for the mirrors. Any help on this would be appreciated.
