  1. Thanks Marty - - I found another dealer who would do it for nothing while the State inspection was being done. But this should be useful info to have on the site for others. Stu
  2. Thanks Eddie - - I think this answers this question. Anybody have any thoughts on my question about rollover safety??????
  3. I know Lexus has always been concerned about safety - - but I'm wondering about how much protection I have in case of a rollover in my SC430???? Is the windshield frame built strong enough to give the necessary protection?? BTW thanks for te help on my tool kit question.
  4. Thanks - - but I do have run flat tires and I do have an air pressute gauge in the smaller tool kit. You can see it in the attached pics. What I am wondering about is the blank space between the lug wrench and the blue part of the jack crank handle in the close-up shot.
  5. No - - This does not look like the tool kit in my 2003 SC430. Thanks anyway.
  6. I have a new key that needs to be programmed for my SC430. Dealer wants to charge me $25! I have heard from a former dealer employee that there is a way to do this yourself. Does anyone know how this is done??? Maybe somewhat like you do for your garage door opener?? Thanks.
  7. Thanks - - -Doesn't seem likely though - - the space is pretty skinny. ?? Could someone with a SC430 take a peek in their trunk. Thanks. You got me thinking so I took a peek at my '92.... and the slot is empty in mine as well. Next time I'm at Lexus I'll sneak a peek into a new one to see what's there. B) Thanks - - it sure does make me curious.
  8. Thanks - - -Doesn't seem likely though - - the space is pretty skinny. ?? Could someone with a SC430 take a peek in their trunk. Thanks.
  9. I bought a used 2002 SC - - and there seems to be a tool missing from the molded in kit. It is the second slot from the left - right next to the lug wrench Looks like it should be a straight tool about 8 inches long. Could someone please look in their trunk and tell me what i'm missing? Thanks.
