  1. get your drive-shaft lubed, as the vehicle lowers the drive-shaft compresses at the joint, if it is not lubed you will get the thumping effect through the vehicle. It is common on these trucks.
  2. Hi, do you have any extra weight in it such as a bull bar etc? I find similar ride to yours but I have about 500kg+ extra weight in it (front and rear ARB bars, winch, spare wheel carrier and LPG. What I found helped a lot was dropping the tire pressure to 200psi,the ride is a lot smoother and the rattles have all but gone. Cheers Leon
  3. In Australia we use PAL, might be worth your while to see if you can get it from here.
  4. I like that. Was that mounting kit special made or were you able to find that one? Here is mine. I cut out the facia out of a landcruiser and glued it in from the inside. It looks like a factory finish. Here is a better picture.
  5. Why not install a double din unit?
  6. I have a 99 lx470 and it does the same , the only thing helps is as you approach the hill hit the overdrive button to off and that is enough for it not shift any lower.
  7. I have fitted a JVC Double din unit with a rear screen, I hooked it up to the factory amp and speakers and it sounds great. Everything works including the factory subwoofer. I made a faceplate around the deck using matt black sheet of perspex (plastic). No damage was done to the original faceplate or plugs ,so I can fit the original deck back in to it in about 10 minutes. I have tried to attach a couple of photos but they did not come through, I am happy to email them on request. Hope this helps. Leon.
  8. Hi all. I am replacing the original deck with an after market double din unit with an lcd sreen in my LX470 1999 model and require a radio pinout, if anyone can guide me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Leon from down under.
