At the beginning of this year (08) I had to drive round trip through some serious cattle farm country every day for about two months. The odor was horrible and some of it still lingers in the car. Most was in the trunk liner so after trying some ineffective remedies it now it stinks like bad perfume. I have a solution for that, but I still get the awful cowpoop odor from the AC system. It's fine with just the fresh air vents on, but when I turn on the AC compressor, the stink begins.
So my question is, isn't there a charcoal filter or a filter of any sort that I can get at and clean or replace to rid my otherwise cool ride of the smell?
If so, where is it? Is it expensive to replace (am retired, fixed income)? Or can I just wash it? I guess the biggest question is, is there a filter and can I clean it?
Thanks,
John
