  1. Primacy MXV4's come in "H" and "V" ratings. Just replaced my OEM EL400's with the Primacy "V" rated....great tire, performance with good ride quality.
  2. I had a similar problem with my 2008 ES 350. When it happened the second time I realized my smart phone was in the same pocket as my key. I since have kept them separated. problem solved.
  3. The difference between taking your Lexus for service to a Lexus dealer instead of someone else might be what happened to me.... at 30,000, Lexus inspected my brakes and found a warped front rotor. They replaced both rotors and front brake pads no charge. I'll spend a few extra bucks to get that kind of service. Steve G.
  4. Oh boy, not happy with what I'm seeing. Maybe the blue tarp will be an option.
  5. Took my 2008 ES in for a routine oil change today and noticed that the receipt said "Valvoline Synthetic." I went back to my service rep and told him I did not request synthetic oil so why was it installed. He said that is all that they install now and that all Lexus dealers would be doing the same. The price was only a $5.00 difference so I was ok with that, $56 vs. $51. Have any of heard of this mandate? Steve G
  6. 18" wheels would add to the appearance.
  7. Got the paint protection film when i bought my 2008 ES350 new from the dealer. Glad I did, living in Florida with night highway driving and the bugs...many bugs. Good news is that they wash off easy with a hose spay. The film still looks good after three years. I'll do it again.
  8. Never hit the brakes hard in the 3 years that I owned my 2008 ES. Hit em hard today. Wow! Stopped on a dime. Very impressed!
  9. When I purchased my 2008 Pebble Beach ES new from the dealer I had them install paint protection film on the front of the car, outside mirrors and side rocker panels. The product works great but shows the wax between the film and the painted surface. If I try to removing the wax too close to the line I peel the edge of the film away. But if I don't remove all the wax, it leaves a noticible line. Anybody got a solution?
  10. That's great! Were you on Interstate and do you remember how fast you traveled? Paul Traveled 90% interstate ...average speed there was 80 mph. Steve
  11. I got 30.5 mpg from Naples,Fl to Boston calculated the old fashoned way on my 2008 ES.
  12. The only true way of attaining MPG is dividing the number of miles driven by the actual gallons used. That said, one fill up is not a good test. You need to include a few fillups in the test. On a trip from Boston to Ft. Myers Florida I got 31.5mpg. My average MPG indicator was right on.
  13. I purchased a"Pebble Beach" w/o the Mark Levinson. Wish the sales guy new that. Thanks
