  1. This post is dated 2004, but I'll reply. Based on what I read, PO440 Vapor Pressure Sensor and PO446 is the charcoal sensor. Check hoses for cracks. Remove fuse 20amp yello under hood, use the white tool provided on the box lid; remove for a minute or two and return tool to lid. Do not fill tank with gas.. keep at low level... the charcoal filter will clear itself. Hope this helps someone.
  2. Hello Lexus lovers, I drive a 2003 RX 300 and the VSC has saved me from several accidents in snow and ice storms in New Hampshire! He is bullet proof! I can get out of my driveway in 8" of snow! My 2003 RX 300 has 246,000 miles; his navigation and cd player stopped working and his VSC and check engine light are on (we believe it is the gas filler neck pin hole that is causing this). I was advised not to spend the money to drop the gas tank and put another $$$$ into it... Why in heaven did Lexus stop making the RX300 line!! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!! There is no other vehicle on the market that can hold a candle to the RX 300 line! Combined, I have nearly 500,000 miles on my two 300's and never once have they let me down! I love the RX 300 line; the RX 350 pales... it is very challenging to use the tech package and they don't have the ARM RESTS LIKE THE RX 300 HAS. I want to buy SEVERAL RX 300'S.......... anyone selling? I will pay for shipping! My 2001 RX 300 with navigation was phenomenal for 286,000 miles!!! It took me two years to find my current 2003 RX 300! I bought him out of state, unseen with ~125K miles.... he is amazing!! Thank you! LET'S BRING BACK THE RX 300 LINE!!!
  3. Hello Lexus lovers, For 12 years, I have been driving a 2001 RX300 with 272,000 miles! This car is bullet-proof. Everything is original with the exception of a minor transmission issue. Does anyone out there have an RX300 with navigation (that has been regularly maintained) for sale? I have been searching for a long time to find one, but I am having a difficult time finding one for sale by owner. Any suggestions? The small dealerships buy Lexus' at auction and nearly all of them have major problems (knocks in the engine, rotten chassis, bad transmissions, dents, major scratches, obviously abused, etc.) The small dealership owners cannot be trusted as far as I am concerned. Regarding the RX330, 2005 appears to be the best year it was made as far as reliability and minimal maintenance. Finding one that has been well maintained is like trying to hit the lottery. I dislike the RX350, I think it is inferior to the RX300 and is made in Canada. I saw the new NX 200T and fell in LOVE immediately; I sat in the one on the showroom floor and did not want to get out! I'm not in a financial position to purchase one, but I would in a second if I had $34K! It's made in Japan! Highest quality throughout and absolutely amazing! Your feedback would be welcomed? Would like to hear from any Lexus gurus on opinion of models, any for sale, etc.
