  1. Oh wow, sorry....Didn't know that. My 01 doesn't have those. I can have the cabin filter out in less than 2 minutes.
  2. After considerable research we went with the Yokohama Geolander H/TS G051 as well. $348.84 from tirerack.com incld shipping, after install, balance, and 4 wheel alignment we paid out a combined total of $533.11. The tires look sharp and feel nice on the road. I will report back on how they wear later on. For now, we are very happy with these tires. Today we got soaked with the tropical depression Cindy and they performed great in the rain.
  3. We own a 2001 RX300. After considerable research we decided the safest place to get an update was through a dealer. We were offered an attractive price at Lexus Hendricks’s in Charlotte for $250 do it yourself. Of course I had numerous questions about different generation systems, DVD recalls, etc. I was told that the 4.1 update they sold me would have minimal updates to the area we live in. They stated most of the area updated was in TX. I bought the DVD anyway due to my own research and knowledge of GPS systems. I figured it was impossible for any company in competition not to update most areas over a 4 year period. When I updated the system the difference from my 2000 ver .1 was enormous! Turn by turn directions, streets, POI, etc, etc were all updated. I had turn by turn directions in areas where I had to navigate alone for miles. The area of knowledge I still cannot get a strong knowledge on is: 1) Recall of the 4.1 disk: I just bought 4.1 in Charlotte on 4/27/05. I was told it wasn't a recalled disk, however, I've seen disks mentioned on here for 4.2 2) Will 4.1 work on different generation systems? Any help is greatly appreciated. Based upon the inaccurate info I received at Hendricks, I will not call upon them.
  4. First time Lexus owner and hooked. We paid $25,900 for a 01 RX-300 AWD with everything including Navigation. One owner from a Lexus Lease. 39,000 miles and remaining factory warranty. Pretty good deal I think!
