  1. I had both of my pre-cat sensors go out on my 95 es. I went to advance auto, bought 2 of the bosch with the plugs already attached, and installed in 30 minutes. It was a little over 200 for both, and I didn't have to splice. Everything fit perfect and a month later, still no light and a great noticeable mpg increase.
  2. Check tranny fluid level. Fluid does travel through the radiator to help cool the transmission, and chances are when you replaced the radiator, you lost some fluid.
  3. It is the gasket that meets with the manifold and the throttle body
  4. I wonder if it was with the older versions of the es300's that came with them?
  5. My 1995 has the gold emblems, however the exhaust is chrome. I have noticed on some other es300's (rarely) that their exhaust tips are gold as well? I cannot seem to find any information on this. Was this an additional factory item on top of the gold emblem kit?
  6. I used the same exact stuff on my MAF...and never had a problem. On the back it says it will not leave any residue.
  7. Hey guys...I think I found the source of this mysterious vaccum leak. Right under the throttle body next to or on the IACV. When I cleaned out my throttle body and shot the carb cleaner in the IACV hole inside the throttle body, the cleaner started to drain out a little bit from the bottom. I put my finger under there when I started my car, and I heard I high pitched whistle noise when I had my finger on the suspected area. There is air being sucked in at that point. Next weekend I will dismantle and see what I find. Svarog, see if this is where your problem area is...
  8. you dont need to dismantle the iacv? just spray down that cavity and it works? I have been meaning to do this as well
  9. well....the engine does have almost 200k on it. I would just run it into the ground at this point and not worry too much unless it becomes a serious issue where it effects the car's drivability. Even if you get the "rings" replaced...who is to say something else wont go up in the engine or somewhere else on the car...
  10. I still have the same problem. No issues until i took my manifold off. I beleive it may be related to the oxygen sensor...but i am not sure. Ive had the cel for about a year and I have just learned to deal with it since I still get about the same mileage and the car drives fine. It just idles rocky in neutral or in park....give it a tad of gas and it does away...almost like the idle is a bit too low.
  11. I would mark the bottles and just ask for them back? (claim that you need the upc's for a rebate or some BS so they dont look at you weird)
  12. well, if you were leaking that much from the rear valve cover...you would be smoking like a bbq grill. You probably are leaking a bit from there, but i suspect there is another culprit adding to the oil leaks
  13. well, on a 95 dodge it was around 200...not including installation. look to probably spend around 500-700 on getting it fixed
