  1. Why not look for a 2000 GS400? you'd probably get one with a slighter higher mileage for a similar price, and get a lot more !Removed! whooping when you step on it.
  2. I agree, it's unfortunate that sales of the current GS are down to zilch, but looking at the competition, most of them have freshened up their line. The GS is a very overlooked car IMO, the 400 especially with it's MB, Audi and BMW slaying capacities. I like it's current lines and I don'T think the look will get "old" like some other cars do. The thing i'm scared of is that they'll make the newer GS for "older" people, like it seems Audi has done with the A6, making it bigger and softer.
  3. Hmmm actually i think i figured the problem out. The remote starter starts the car which has the headlights on auto, but when it shuts off the headlights don't. I tried it again today, headlights never turned off unless I was shutting it down using the key. Last night i tested it and turned it off using the remote and went to bed, the headlights probably drained the battery in my sleep.
  4. yeah got a bosst from a cab, now i'm gonna let it run for a while to try to recharge it. Now i have to fifure out why...
  5. Hi, We've had our first major snowstorm here. Last night before going to bed i used my remote starter to get the car working for a few minutes then shut it down, to make sure everything was fine. This morning car won't start. I hear this constant ticking under the hood. If i get in the car and hit the brake, it stops. When i turn the key, Most of the power won't show, tried headlight they won't turn on. When i try to start it, nothing happens, all I hear is this small electric motor going off. Now I don't remember last time i had this problem, is it the starter that's screwed? alternator or just a plain case of dead battery?
  6. Install what? The TC? The TC is not an L-Tuned part. It is up to them to warrant it. You will need to ask them if they will even install it. Some dealerships do not like aftermarket stuff. Maybe you are lucky and this one is OK. BTW - How did you even get to the L-Tuned website. It has been dead for awhile now since L-Tuned is discontinued. ← just searched for l-tuned on google, guess it's not the real site then, they're selling the SRT intake and the Dragon TC http://l-tunedparts.com/ hmmm
  7. My dealership is an L-Tuned authorized dealer, so if they install it (I noticed it's on the l-tuned website) it could prevent it. I guess i should ask them.
  8. Is cabin noise much higher? Also will this void powertrain warranty? Thanks
  9. So what engine mods do you recommend first? I still have a leftover on the powertrain warranty, I wouldn't want to ruin that either.
  10. My 2000 GS400 has 75000km on it (46900 miles) and runs great, except for a water infiltration on the left side pillar beam between the windshield and passenger door, i'll have to get it check. I've also noticed water infiltration the other day through the passenger's reading light, i'll have to get that checked out too, it's kinda odd for a car like that. I know windshield was changed 2 years ago, so my guess it bad sealing around it. Other than that i LOVE the car
  11. Thanks for all your input, will this screw with stuff like the VSC anti skid system, or the snow setting (lotsa snow here) or top speed or anything like that?
  12. Hi, I'm new here, just picked up a used 2000 GS400, black with tan interior and i LOVE it! I'm thinking of improving it's performances a bit and was wondering what kinds of performance increase to expect from that Dragon torque converter. Also thinking about the SRT intake as well. What are your opinions? Here's a pic of the car btw
