  1. Well we don't have a lot of days that are "hot summer" just nice and regular summer (I live a little south of San Francisco). So I'll just use it on the toasty days I guess :)
  2. I got new tires and have been testing 87 versus 91 for the fuel to see if I can actually notice a difference. Manual says 87 but to use 91 if I want "higher performance" which I find kind of vague. Also the tire place didn't fill my tires enough, so my fiance put some more air in them which should help my mpg's out as well I am hoping.
  3. Got the updated maps DVD this morning, took less than 5 minutes to find the old one, pop it out, and put the new one in :)
  4. I plan to get the update for mine as I just purchased a used 2006 last week and I'm fairly certain it was *never* updated by the previous owner. Had to go to a martial arts tournament last weekend and the whole subdivision where the fairly new high school was located was completely missing from the maps. Had to have it navigate me to some nearby cross streets instead, lol. EDIT: Went to the dealership this morning, they had the DVD on sale for $150. Got the 11.1 update and took me less than 5 minutes to eject the old DVD and install the new one :) Easy!
  5. I bought my used Lexus at a Toyota dealership. We checked and it didn't appear to have any outstanding recalls. I called the local Lexus dealership today to get the cost for the updated Navigation maps DVD and while I was on the phone, the nice Lexus service guy asked me for my VIN so he could check if there were any recalls (he asked for this as soon as I mentioned I had purchased the vehicle used the week before). I was impressed that although I was calling for something else he went out of his way to check for me (And mention that if it was under recall I'd get a loaner car while they fixed it). Thankfully he also confirmed no outstanding recalls to be done on my car :)
  6. I went with Goodyear ComfortTred Assurance Tires on mine.
  7. Congrats on the new vehicle! I just got a 2006 RX 400h as well last week (with an impressively low 38k miles on it!) My first orders of business will be new tires, update the navigation maps and a full detail (previous owner did horrible things to the paint).
  8. Reviving a dead thread with a question. Looking into buying a 2006 RX 400h (only 38k miles on it!) and a big concern is I live with my iPhone music for my long commutes. I play all my music through the MOG app on my iPhone (same thing as Spotify if you know what that is instead of MOG). Right now I have a pioneer stereo in my current car which has an iPhone USB hookup that works awesome. Would the VAIS support MOG/Spotify? My current Pioneer in my existing car supports regular MP3's loaded on the iPhone + any songs I want to play in MOG (and I can control it through the stereo and see the song titles etc). Just want to make sure that the VAIS option or something similar would still let me use this app if I invest in it. EDIT: Going to sign all the papers tomorrow, got them to finally agree on a decent price.
  9. Welcome to the Lexus forums Cat Rodery :)
