  1. I was in the same boat. What I did is to make sure part number on the little motor visible. Both motors run fine now.
  2. Me too. How about email to dongshop1 "at" hotmail.com. Thanks a lot.
  3. Hello, RX, My 2001 RX AWD has same noise when the AC is engaged. Is it a simple thing to adjust the belt since I do not have a manual to follow? If you can post some pictures about tightening the belt, that will be great. Thanks for the info.
  4. STEVIEJ. Thanks a lot. Next time it come up, it will be in the garage.
  5. P1130 Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Just drove thru a bump during a wet day. Then engine light anb VSC light turned on. This happened every 4-5K miles since last October. I usually disconnect the battery and the light will remain off for another 4-5k miles. Any one here has same experience? Any cause or solution? Thanks a lot.
  6. How about the washer wiring? My 2001 RX has problem with the rear washer. The wiper is working, the fluid is not coming out.
  7. Since I do not like to pay the dealer big bucks, I want to clean the TB and IACV myself during this sumer weekends. But I can not find any detailed instruction for RX300 on this site or clublexus. Do you have a copy to share? Thanks. :)
  8. oldrx300, how did you clean the iacv? On my 2001 RX with 76k miles, the two screw has rust on it. I can not unscrew it. Thanks a lot.
  9. When I was using KN filter, every time after I cleaned MAF, I got 1130 code. If I disconnect the battery to clean the code, it will not show again unless I clean the MAF again. Recently I read some thing about the filter then I decided to use paper filter. Now after I clean the MAF, no code any more.
  10. I have a used 2001 RX too. I am thinking about installing the hitch myself. Do you have a picture about the power module? I found a blue box plugged into the wireharness in the trunk ( dirver side, close the spare tire location). Since I bot it used, I am not sure what it is. Thanks.
  11. Hi, Lexusfreak, Can you educate me a little bit about the fuel lines freezing issue? I have notice mpg dropped about 2 mpg when it is cold, during the weekly 600 miles round trip to cleveland. Thanks.
  12. I think your 01 AWD is in the range Lexus specifies. Although you should do better with 89, what is your driving style? I installed K&N drop in air filter, removed unneeded weight for daily commune, (spare tire, jack, and wrenches from the trunk). Also I thermo wraped my exhaust header and pipes a while ago. Not to spark a debate on merits of doing these mods but combined I am getting >24 mpg on HWY and >20 mpg mixed driving with 87 octane gas. ← Looks like the climate has a big factor in it. I used to get 23 during October when temperature is in the 60s. Now I only get 20 while temperature is 30s. That is why I saw guys from CA are reporting better results. I am using KN drop-in air filter too.
  13. :chairshot: Guys, I did the same thing a month ago drain and refill on my 2001 RX300 AWD. Had the same question. Then I did a research online. I found out that you can only check the transmission fluid level properly while the engine is still running/idling. Then you will notice a big differece on the stick comparing to when the engine is not running.
  14. 01RX300 with 60K on it. Only when idle at D shiift, it sounds like subwoofer is working....even when I shut off fan/AC, Music. I do not know if it is the same as yours. Any idea? or easy fix? Or it could be included in the extended warranty? Any thanks!!! :cries:
  15. My 01 RX300 also making some noise during cold morning. I am thinking about changing it myself. Could you post some instructions or pics so I can see if I am able to do that without professional tools? Thanks a lot. Jim
