they may be the same sensor, but they have different wiring and different part numbers. look them up at rock auto parts. IF you replaced one sensor last year, replace the other now.
-
please send to me as well, please thanks paulhartmann77@yahoo.com

the shaking up front concerned me, and bad shocks can ruin a set of good tires. if the shocks are bad, get them fixed first before sinking money into the tires. I know because ruined new tires when the shocks were bad on my ES330 at 90K.

my son, an attorney, was over the other day. Out of the blue he said to me, why don't you buy a new car and give me the Lexus. Well, I still love the car even it is an 05. It is great on the road and gets 28 or so MPG. I didn't reply to him.

yes. it was interesting as the mech. said that he thinks it is the bad reostats in the old alt. is what was making the "bearing noise"
-
bearing noise in the motor at 137K , and figured it was alternator, as the charging voltage was 12.1. got one at local parts store, and took it to mechanic today. 33 minutes later he was done! you don't have to take off the larger bracket held in with the 2 14mm bolts to remove the alt. There is youtube video showing this removal, so it easier than this video shows
-
you have to delete the code after putting i the new sensor also.
-
go to rockauto and get the sensor there, and find a mechanic to do it, or do it yourself.
-
yeah you would have to get the owner to push the LEARN or PROGRAM button on the receiver.

2004 Lexus Es330 - Slow Acceleration/hesitation
pauloil replied to dembowy12212012's topic in 92 - 06 Lexus ES250/300/330
I own the same car, and avoid pushing hard on the pedal, do most accel. in 3rd. gear. this is a known problem and cleaning the fuel system is not needed. I accelerate using the cruise lever often, and know there is lots of power at 3200rpm.! -
ATF fluid levels are checked after going through all the gears. I have lexus ES330, and have done 5 drain and fills in 135K miles on this car. Just did it on our Rav4 with the WS fluid and I drove some on a 90 degree day, and the fluid was above the upper limit, perfect. 3.5-3.6 qts. is what came out. good job on your flush!

Problem With My Air-conditioning? Lexus Es-300?
pauloil replied to Linux2's topic in 92 - 06 Lexus ES250/300/330
rockauto parts has good cheep relays https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/lexus,1998,es300,3.0l+v6,1316093,electrical-switch+&+relay,a/c+system+relay,13364 -
just unplug the plugin part there, no need to clip wires
-
you can get clips for the shroud at any auto parts store, a lot cheaper than at the stealership.

I'm at 132K on my 05 ES330, and it still runs great. I was wondering about control arm bushings and the motor mounts. When do they go bad?

Random misfire codes for cyl. 2, 4, & 6
pauloil replied to uncledave11's topic in 92 - 06 Lexus ES250/300/330
did you replace the plenum gasket. look at hose connections carefully. I don't know how many miles yours has, but 02 sensors are considered maintenance items by some, over 100-130K miles. try resetting adaptives by touching the neg batt cable to the pos cable, with the dirty air filter, who knows? seafoam in the tank might help the reported catalyst code, as well as 02 sensors -
2003 lexus es300 starter cost
pauloil replied to Carlos Aguilar's topic in 92 - 06 Lexus ES250/300/330
be sure to do voltage drop testing on the cables first. any voltage drop of 0.2V or more is indicative of a bad cable. -
well, the $13 relay from rockautoparts.com worked WELL!!
-
my headlights stayed on for an hour after I shut the car and locked the door. I turned the lights off on the stalk, and waited about 15 min. as I do have a 4 yr old battery. so I pulled the HEAD relay, and found it on rockautoparts for $10. Better than $48 at Oreilly's. I chime back in after putting in the new relay, a denso one with the same part number as what is on the old relay.

Tranny Drain And Fill
pauloil replied to steviej's topic in Workshop Tutorials - Lexus How To Guides
my book on ES330 05 say 3.7 qts. tranny fluid with a drain and fill. I done it 4 times and each time, I put 3.7 qts back in, and the level stay good. -
whenever you put new battery, get a battery tool and clean the inside of the clamps, the posts. look at the wires where they join the clamps. if needed, do a voltage drop test on the starter wire, the pos. battery wire, and also the neg. side

i always r/r thermostats in my cars every five yrs or so. Looking at the Lexus, I see it is under the fill cap and in a large holding bracket held down by 2 torx head bolts and one ?12mm. have to disconnect temp sensor and part of motor mount and take cover off top of motor to get the stat/bracket out. has anyone done this or know of link to a DIY reference?
