i have the same problem...you never mentioned what to do if you HAVE done any of the above...i used gas from a station i dont usually gas at...AND i was just about at empty....if it is simply for that reason..what should i do? will the lights go off automatically?

i got a BRAND NEW set of 400h rims...they are 5 star and gunmetal finish....along with untouched tires...for 950 here in miami...from a guy who sells them on ebay......he seems to sell alot of sets...i got a good deal and was able to pick up in person...but you should be able to get something close.....and the rims look AWESOME on the car...not too flashy or aftermarket looking...look VERY OEM...which is what i wanted...and the ride is great...if i had a camera i would take some pics for the site..

someone brought up driving in VA with a detector...I've always wondered: can the cops actually DETECT that you are using one..like a "radar detector detector"?? or is it simply that if they visually SEE a detector in your windshield you will get a ticket? and will you only get a summons, or will they confiscate your detector? anyone know.........

My goal is to put the 18" RX 330 rims onto my 01 Rx 300...I just havent found a good enough deal on the rims/tires...also weighing the chrome option for those rims....but that being said...has anyone done this? or seen a vehicle with the 330 rims on it? for that matter...has anyone here upgraded the rims on their rx300? I'd like to see pictures....

I have had extensive conversations via email with Pioneersubuy..who is a frequent poster on this board....i have an 01 rx also..and almost bought an upgrade package from him....in order to add the oem nav to the car...i would have had to: 1. replace the radio, screen and surrounding trim piece with the oem nav units... 2. add the oem computer in the compartment near the spare tire and run the cables to it from the back of the new radio 3. add a antenna unit somewhere in the back of the vehicle...and run the cable also to the back of the new radio on top of all this..unless you were to change the ENTIRE factory wiring harness...all of this is useless...Pioneersubuy had made a "Y" type connector that would enable you to plug into the factory wiring harness without any splicing...so when its all said and done..you have to find all of those components from a salvaged rx 300 w/ nav (VERY rare) and then find someone to make the harness....

very interesting....nice job..does the center screen fit exactly where the OEM radio display was?if so..how did you find one that fit so perfectly there? and i am assuming that by you using that a/v controller you can still use the OEM cd changer? what are your plans for the stock screen that is in the glove box?i think the top center drawer might be a good spot...

very interesting install wendell...explain more..how did u move the OEM screen? where did you move it to, can you still see the AC info? Also, what kind of dvd system did you add? how is it controlled?

this exact same thing is happening in my 2001 rx 300...i found that the top rear brake light was out...i replaced the bulb...all seem to work now.....and yet the light on the dash comes on when i step on the brake pedal after i start the car.......

would really like to know how the ride would be and the look of the 18" rx 330 rims on a 2001 rx 300....any pics out there?anyone done it?

good idea on the limo tint on the inside..makes perfect sense..so now it looks the same as it always did on the outside..cool.. I am VERY interested on seeing how the front windows came out...i have so far only seen cars that ALMOST match the back...which looks tacky to me

I've heard better things about XM...more stations....but more importantly: Hello...I live in Queens and just bought the same CPO Rx300....we should get together and compare notes sometime........

thanks for the in depth response...so i guess the answer is that there really is no simple answer....if i am to understand you correctly: in order for me to add the OEM nav system and have it be displayed in my dash...i would have to replace the display screen and add a computer in the rear of the vehicle...AND i would still only be able to add it if i were to get a connecting wiring harness such as you are developing... pioneersubuy...please add my name to your email list..if you have one...and notify me when you have come up with a complete system to add navigation to my vehicle...i would be very interested in purchasing this....

pioneersubuy...you seem to know alot...but you are way too confusing..........keep it simple.... 1.WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO ADD NAVIGATION? 2. AFTER I HAVE ADDED NAVIGATION, WILL I BE ABLE TO ADD DVD PLAYING ABILITY? I really want to just upgrade to navigation...but if dvd is also possible, that would be nice...all of that WITHOUT changing the OEM screen..
