I have a set of oem rims (non chrome) off my 92 sc400. They have a set of Falken tires on them with excellent life left. Please email me tcoerper@gmail.com if you are interested.
I put an Injen on my sc400..while I dont notice a difference in HP, when I step on it the sound is GREAT. Besides it looks really good when you open the hood. I got mine off ebay for $200 shipped.
I put 18's on my sc400 and the handling is much better. The ride is a little more stiff but i'm gonna put new shocks on soon so that should improve. It looks 100 times better and i'm very happy overall.
I am also installing a double din unit (Kenwood) and have difficulty finding a 1/2 din pocket. Could you please give me details of where you got yours (tel, address, price, etc)? Many thanks, Soto

Go to circuit city.com...I ordered one from there.
I had a pioneer double din unit (FH-P5000MP) installed with a 1/2 din pocket under it to fill the open space. Looks great. Sound is 100% better. I would recomend having it done by a car stereo place...just seems to be a headace to do yourself.
I just bought these in the 18X8 size off ebay. I believe the offset is 40. Will 245/40/18 tires be ok?

I just got my car back with a new pioneer FH-P5000MP double din unit, new amp with a rockford fosgate 10" sub in the trunk.....it is awesome!!!! Sounds great...anyway my factory amp is for sale if anyone is interested. It works great...email me at tcoerper@gmail.com if you want it. I'm asking $145.
I removed the 4 tiny screws and the 4 bolts but the damn thing wont budge....any info would be very helpful.
Nevermind I got it...just was stuck in there after 13 years
SAMOHT023, thanks for the info. I have another question. I bought a 10" Rockford Fosgate P310D2 sub. What is the best enclosure for the sc400? Should I have one custom made?
I bought a Pioneer FH-P5000MP double din for my 92 sc400. Is there a kit I can buy for installation? I've checked the forum and the web to no avail. I don't want to have to pay someone to do it unless I have to.
I'm looking into buying some 18's...what is the best size tire? I don't want to lose too much of the smooth ride. I could get a package deal with 225/40/18 with them. I just don't know if that size tire would be good or not. Any info would help.
