The "splats" that are next to each forum seem to have three shades of beige now.
You know, those designs that look like they came from the early 70's show "The Dating Game". They used to be almost transparent with there was no new posts in the forum and a dark beige when new posts are made and haven't been read yet.
Now the splats in the Model specific forum seem to have a transparent shade of beige and a light shade of beige only. The darker shade is only on the splats in the remaining forums (non-model specific forums).
Am I going crazy, need new contacts or did I just work too much this weekend?
Anyone else notice this?

you are not going crazt mate - just very observant - Sherlock Holmes would be proud!
Those 'splats' as you call them show the status of individual forums since your last visit.
When one is pale - that means there have been no new posts since your last visit.
The dark splat means there are new posts.
The third state is now shown on the car models forums, as I have added sub forums to those forums - so the state of new posts is not immediately obvious.
The sub forums are links to our detailing forums and merchandise site. I shall be adding others this week.
We have done this because we felt that people tend to stick only to the forum for the model they own, and are maybe missing out on some of the other areas of the site.
That explain things mate?
