To the high elders of LOC.........


I'd like to see MANDATORY FIELD(S) That would be required to fill out in the profile/avatar/etc... section that include:

Model of lexus you have
Model year
mileage
New purchase or used
1st, 2nd, 3rd owner...etc..
Mileage driven per year
(any other pertinent info)


Many have tried to remind people to post this info when they have a question so it can be answered correctly. But over and over....... people don't and it't needed information. Since we've ask in the past and not everybody gives complete info:

Make it mandatory when they become new member & for current members too.
Even make everyone re-enter this info if we have to for database management. Those of use dedicated will gladly be responsible and put the info back it again. NO big deal, takes 30 seconds the next time we log on....

I assume that if one replaces their lex with an audi or BMW then that info should be updated. This is a website for people that appreciate lexus not necessarly own a lexus, correct?

What does one fill in if they don't own a lexus and would still like to join?

I ask, cause we will be asked.

Put it this way
if an owner really is asking for help ,they WILL leave as much basic info as possible
those who want to be spoon fed and ask the same qeustions asked the day before and not search will not get much answers.
You don;t have to know anything about cars to leave the year and milage it is common sense

but we all know common sense isn't all that common

Since my stupid sig is on about every post on this site they would have to see "search first"
i just don't even bother answering rather than repeat myself and sound like an arrogant ass

And of course a nonn lexus owner can put a bmw or anythnig instead
they must want to know something about a lexus which is why they are here. And that is exactly what this forum is for. To educate and learn,doesn;t matter what car you own or drive.
We don't charge extra for having an "L" on the front of your car ( or anything else) like some places.
