...what Nav version came with the 2008?

Depends on when your 08 Rx was produced. If it was produced in late 07 it will have an older gen than those produced in 08.

my 08 purchased in Dec 07 a made in Japan RX has the 7.1 Nav version.

Thanks Jeff....may have somthing to do with where it was made. My car was also made in 07 but in Canada, and I got the 06.1 version.....
