Can someone please provide me with detailed instructions on how to replace front and rear brake pads and rotors on a 1998 GS 400.

Thank you!

Any recommendations for reasonably priced brands (pads and rotors)?

umm there is nothing to it. hook the car up take out the tire, take out the 2 caliper bolts, and the caliper comes right off along with the pads. once the caliper is off the rotor comes off too, you might have to use a rubber hammer, and a WD-40 to lossen the rotor. Atleast thats what I had to do to take out the rotors. same thing for the back, MAKE sure you have the parking brake ON!!. as far as reasonably brake pads and rotors goes, I got mine from www.ebay.com , got 4 coss drilled/slotted rotors with 8 evolution ceramic pads all for $193.00 free shipping. I must say cant beat that deal.

Im sorry I know this isnt a detailed info, but its better then nothing!
