Hi everyone,
I had a dead battery the other day and removed the cover over the battery. I placed the retaining clips on the radiator. after the car was started the clips dropped and I couldn't find them.
It was 0200 and I just got off a plane and wanted to go home I figured I'd find them in the morning, Nope.
What are the clips called? I checked the owners manual and couldn't find them. I want to buy several but was going to try and find them online. I have a 2007 RX 400H

They're just called 'clip'. Lexus part #53259-0E010. Might be easier to just go to the dealership and get 'em.

My experience has been that Lexus dealers ALWAYS have these in stock, probably because they work so bass-ackward that they are easy to break.

I dropped one of mine putting the cover back. The Lexus dealer has tons and will give it to you free.

I lost 2 pieces also and Lexus dealer charged me $3.23 each. I felt like someone just robbed me. What a scam

if that is really true - your dealer is a rat = mine was glad to give them to me for free = can you go to a different dealer ??

Next time simply tell the dealer that the "clips seem to be missing." Phrasing can be everything when it comes to warranty matters.
