Hi everyones,

I just got a 2006 RX400 but I'm not able to use the gps when the car is not running. if I press on "dest" "menu" or "map" button, nothing happen if the car is not running even if the key is in ACC mode.
Is it normal or there is a problem whith mine ?
If it is a problem, someone have an idea of the solution ?
The only thing I see when the car is not running is the Consumption menu.

I think it's strange to be unable to use the GPS without having the car start...

You are correct. I MUST start my RX before being able to enter an address into the GPS screen.

Are you able to access "dest" "menu" or "map" buttons without having your car start ?

I believe the map is displayed but I can't remember which "buttons" are shown. Certainly, there are very limited functions available.
