Hey Guys/Gals,

I recently purchased a used 2007 RX350 with 13,500 miles on it. Beautiful car. I am really annoyed with the fact that every time I hit the "Voice Command" button on the steering wheen, it waits a few seconds for me to say something, and it doesn't matter what I say it displays "Voice Recognition Canceled" and I get to select "Cancel" or "Help" but help is disabled.

I tried looking thru the menu, setup, etc... but can't seem to figure it out. The mic's for the voice recognition are clear of dust and everything, cause I use the bluetooth feature to talk on the phone all the time, but just annoyed with the Voice Recognition.

Any advice?

Few other small problems (if anyone has a soltuion would greatly appreciate it - I would go to a dealer, but the closest dealer is approx 200 miles away.)

1. Auto Seat / mirrors / steering wheel positioning / programming is not working. How do I program it to memorize where I'd like it to be set for me? I tried positioning everything to where I like, then hit SET and hit "1" at the same time, and held it for 20 seconds. But no luck.
2. I need lexus rubber matts, any advice on where I can get them cheap? Also need the matt for the trunk.

Any cool tricks you might have learnt, if you could post them as well, that would be great.

Thanks,
Viren

I have an O7 as well your voice recognition , should say , after the beep ....... then you have to use the approved commands like dial by number or dial by name or closest ....
you may be waiting to long or saying something it does not understand
you have to be in park to set memory on seat
best mats are at http://www.weathertech.com/

after hitting the voice command button, the computer / girl does not say anything. it just displays "Voice Recognition Canceled".

I've tried setting the memory seats in park, but no luck.

Guess its time to make a trip to Lexus. Maintenance light came on today anyways, so will get it checked. probably just time for an oil change. lets see how much they charge.

The car's still under warranty i'd assume. Take it to Lexus, they'll probably know what's wrong and fix it for you...

My guess, there's a setting through the navigation screen you've gotta check. I believe there's a setting to toggle ON or OFF the voice commands through the nav menu. Could the seat control be associated with it?

I think there's an item in the setup for something like "Voice recognition guidance" off/on. Maybe the previous owner turned it off. As for the Help being toned down, it was probably because you were driving. You can only browse through the command help when stationary.
