Use only the recommended Lexus/Toyota Coolant and mix 50/50 with purified or distilled water only.
Using the incorrect type of coolant and/or normal tap water can cause corrosion problems in aluminium engines.
Here's a starter link but you should be able to buy locally over the counter.

Sorry here's the tutorial
http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/cooling/coolant.htmlQuestion about the coolant. Went to purchase 2 gallons of coolant (red) at Toyota and counter man asked what color I had in there now. I am running the green coolant and he said it would be bad to just drain and add the red becasuse of the different chemicals in the red and green. Recommended a power flush to make sure all the green coolant was flushed out because when red mixes with the green it causes sludge. Said to flush and replace with red or just drain and continue using the green coolant. Probably not much difference between the two but of course going with what is recommended is the correct thing to do, and probably not a bad idea to flush with 148k on the clock. Toyota quoted $140.00 for the flush and coolant. Will shop around for best price. Hope this helps someone that was thinking of just going from green or whatever color to the correct red. I learned something today. Any thoughts on this?
