I have noticed that the drive position indicator does not always ligt up anymore. i suspect either a fuse or the light bulb is going. I can readily pop off the aluminum cover around it, but am at a loss as to whther I should try to try popping the indictaor housing loose to see if I can locate the bulb. The shift lock release button looks like it could be a pain if it pops loose.

Any ideas?

The next time you are at the dealership, ask the parts person if he or she would show you the exploded view of those components. I've done this for other vehicles and the parts person was always willing to oblige.
