I couldn't sell my 91 LS400 as a whole so I decided to part it out. Here are the details of any known problems.
VIN JT8UF11E1M0062891 Everything is stock original on the car except someone told me the wheels came from another model.
Interior:
1) hinge to door on cup holder is broken. I have the door but it is broken off cleanly at the hinge.
2) there are a few places where the seats are splitting
3) the steering wheel is a little worn
4) the center console has some crackling on the top
Exterior:
1) In a parking deck on a slope I let my foot off the brake and rolled forward to have an encounter with a concrete barrier----- damage to grill, hood and front left quarter panel. I drove it like that for 3 years.
2) Small amount of rust size of a quarter around the trunk lid.
3) CD caddy missing from the CD-changer in the trunk.
4) A few place where the paint is crackling.
Engine:
1) Ever since I have owned it there has been a valve clicking. My mechanic told me it was a $3.00 part and an 8 hour job and not to do it unless it really bothered me and I chose not to do it. Never gave me a problem.
2) This was told to me by a Lexus mechanic ---ECT hose leaking ---Front ball joints need replaced.
