Hi all - anybody have any idea as to why Lexus "dropped" the mpg to 19/27 from 21/30 on the ES-350's (08,09,10)? I have had two Lexus modules (03 - ES300 and 07 - ES350) both of which listed 21/30 mpg. The average for me is 24/25 combined. Excellent efficiency for a 272HP engine. Any insight would be appreciated as I'm back in the market for the 2010 year and would very much like to stick with the Lexus brand (ES series).

Thanks for the reply. I hope to achieve the same mileage with a new ES350 as with my current 2007 ES350.

Will they update our trip computers with the new formula so our cars report to us the way it should be now?

Its how the EPA tests the cars for their published figures, not the math involved in calculating MPG...so the computers aren't affected...

Cool, our cars aren't lying to us! Well, not completely lying...
