Does anyone know how to get rid of sap stains on hood. Are there any products that i should use that will work. Please help.

Go to a car wash and try using high pressure wash and rinse. Might have to get real close with the nozel but be careful. You leave that sap on there too long it will take the paint off with it.

My son used "nail polish remover" with great success. I would exercise caution. Do this out of the sunlight. Also, wash off the area immediately when you are done. I would also recommend doing a small test area first to make sure you do not damage the paint. My son used this on his Audi A6 (4.2) and his paint still looks great.

I have always used a product made by 'The Wax Shop' called 'Super Glaze'. It is a liquid wax that utilizes a petro-based agent to carry the carnauba wax. It works really well on things like sap, and adhesives. Good luck!

I just saw an add in a magazine for the new Maguires Clay Bar. Although I have not used it, the verbage (propoganda) states it "removes above surface contaminates" and yet "non-abrasive". I think it is about $20 at Target.

Please let us know how it works out, if you choose that route.
