Hi,

First time poster, but I need some help. I was driving at about 30 mph in my 96' LX450 when the motor cut out, came back for about 15 secs then cut out and died. The truck was and has been operating perfectly prior to this.

I noticed I had a check engine light that came on as the motor was quitting.

After doing some research here:

I believe the "AM2" fuse is blown. I now have no check engine light when the key is turned on. There is no spark when the lead to the distributors is pulled and the engine cranked. I took apart the wire clip going into the coil and put an ampmeter on it with the key on and got nothing. I checked all the fuses in the engine fuse box and by the drivers door. All appear good. I can not find the "AM2" nor is it listed in the picture from the above link.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My best guest is that it's in the box on the positive cable at the battery post. But it's just a guess. Why don't you PM Romer and ask him? He'll probably want to update his post since it's not clear on that part.
