I want to replace my standard steering wheel and gearshift knob with a leather/wood one. Should I go to a Lexus dealer for this?

Absolutely not!!!
I got mine redone here: <http://www.american-stitches.com> and they did an amazing job! You have to send them a steering wheel core and shifter knob, but their work is excellent. My interior is tan/brn, and I had my shifter knob redone in the brn leather instead of the stock black. Also had the wheel done in wood/leather. Both matched my interior perfectly. Haven't posted any pics, so I need to do that.
I had to buy an entire steering column from a salvage yard (they won't just sell the core), so that's what I sent 'em. Then just replaced the old with the new when they came back. I don't have an extra shifter knob - lost it somewhere along the way. But I do still have the extra steering column if you want it. You can have it for $80.
Like I said, their work was excellent!
