The topic's that are asked about over and over have already been covered ( at least somewhere or someplace on these forums ) I do not have control over the initial posts, Nor do I have control over the posts of the new members, ( that almost never search before they post ) Maybe a redirect is in order for the first 20 or so posts ( of new members ) to the club rules/policies/search function capabilities should be mandatory. Just a thought for the future of these boards to eliminate the duplication of what has already has been covered. Mods ?????

Please excuse me for my ignorance if this has been covered in a different manner.

I didn't expect a response from anyone who cares. I thought I would at least get a response from a newbie. Typical, Just keep asking the same old q's over and over and over and over and over and over. Seems like the advancement of forums are yet to be seen. When and if it ever happens remember who is who. ph34r.gif

I agree with you but i don't dictate the forum controls.
Searching is a lost art to many .

dc, give us a DAY to respond Geez. We do have jobs, families, and lives other than this forum you know.

Anyways this is kind of a "nothing we can do about it" sort of thing. You see it on forums everywhere, newbies are ALWAYS going to post questions the answers have been posted to and more established members are ALWAYS going to be irritated by it.

We can either live with it and be gracious, or we can be dicks and post stuff like "Use the search!" or make them read the rules 20,000 times before they can post. All thats going to do is alienate new members and stall the growth of our community, you don't want that to happen do you?

So, my suggestion would be to politely show people how to access the search function when you see these features. The search function on this software leaves some to be desired, but there's not much we can do about that and we have to work with what we've got.
