I know Bill Gates used to drive an LS400, as did Dick Cheney before he became Vice President.

Michael Jordan's dad was behind the wheel of an SC400 when he was killed. I also remember seeing a few Lexuses on MTV's Cribs show. I can't remember who they belonged to though.

I saw Christopher on the Sapranos driving a black LS400 in one episode.

The first episode had him driving one in a park backwards. He actually crashed it into a tree as he live in the city and didn;t even have a drivers liscense at the time. Luckly they rolled another new one off a truck as they towed away the last one .

Bill Gates LS had tons of bullet proofing on it and really really thick windows, it was at a seattle area shop

Also, I was watching this show called "Rides" on TLC. Where they placed a GS430's engine into a IS300 and customized the IS300 even more with lots of other things. And, called the "IS300" the "IS430."

Toyota gave Michael Waltrip a Lexus, since he will be racing a Toyota in NASCAR next season. I saw Waltrip's wife driving it around in an episode of some sort of NASCAR reality show (probably on the Speed Channel). I didn't see enough to know what model it was. I'm guessing it was an LS.

sweet! I did always wonder why the IS model never offered anything bigger then the 3.0l inline 6 but in the GS models you could have a 3, a 4 and a 430. Guess its lexus way of pushing consumers to buy the more $$$ GS models.

I’ve never understood why any of us should get agitated about the so-called “Lexus lanes” on interstates, or by an airport security sytsem that allows frequent flyers to pay for a background screening check that would allow them to whiz through airport security lines. The idea that somebody could use their wealth to buy “special treatment” infuriates most Americans. Neither bothers me. Anything that shortens my line in traffic or in waiting to pass through airport screening suits me just fine.
