If in wrong forum, please move. This may have been posted here before. It was on the other Lexus site. Thought I would post there. Pretty interesting....
Euro LS400 vs Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Jaguar 4.0 (15 second ad will play, then test starts about 1:45 into the show) http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Top-Gea...1025_208152.htm |

I wouldn't walk across the street to listen to what Jeremy Clarkson has to say about cars. He's an upper class twit punter who has never had his hands dirty, and certainly not from working on cars.
He thinks Lexus are boring - last thing he did was to machine gun a perfectly good early LS. He can keep his Jaguars. He doesn't have to pay to fix them. Tiff Needel is a good guy though, and real driver. And this is my gentle opinion...... |

He thinks Lexus are boring... because they are! I did not buy my LS to be inspired.
What it lacks in excitement, it more than makes up for in refinement and class. |

He thinks Lexus are boring - last thing he did was to machine gun a perfectly good early LS. You mean like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1Z3dtx5hSY And so what if one Jeremy Clarkson thinks LS400 is boring and shoots it with a small machine gun? I thought that was actually pretty funny. I think even in the UK you are still free to state your opinion. I also do have to agree with amcdonal86. I did not buy the LS400 to get excited, either. I have nothing against the LS and think they are absolutely wonderful cars in their own category. Which just happens not to be excitment. |

I dont think it was the Clarkson guy that was in the LS400 for that road test was it? He was just in different segments. Now he was the dude in the Land Cruiser, G-Wagon and Range Rover, right?
On that LS400 road test, they actually seemed to applaud the LS400 over the the other cars... I liked that glass of water on the engine test. Too bad my LS would shake the glass to the moon. lol. Thats what worn out motor mounts would get ya. lol. |

I think even in the UK you are still free to state your opinion. It means he's a grandstanding fool, that's what. Maybe a demo derby with one would be to your taste as well. And I don't recall saying he wasn't free to state his opinion. I said I don't give a crap about his. There is a difference. |
