Time for new front brake pads.........I like the performance that I had with the factory pads. Any idea are they ceramic or semi metallic.....whats best to go with on the after market replacement?

The OEM pads are conventional pad, but not good enough when u compare them with Ceramics one, You get the best braking performance on the Ceramic pads when you compare with the toyota OEM. I feel the OEM ones have high quantity of graphite and Asbestos. I have used both, And i rate the ceramic ones better. The really last longer than the conventional pads any day. I have presently installed Rear Pads with Akebono Pro Act, and the front one OEM, Waiting for the front to wear out and will have that too replaced with ceramic.

The Rotors are OEM, and have them skimmed before you install new pads. Go by the books for the limitations on the Skimming.
