had to turn key 3 times before car would start this morning. i think starter is about to die.
dealer part ($250..??) or use after market autozone part ($155).
Does it matter?

dcfish was correct...
starter got worse and worse and I took to my mechanic. He said no need to replace starter, just the contacts. I think he screwed me a bit by charging $200 for parts/labor but i couldnt wait any longer. all I needed was to get stranded...especially since I had to turn the key 7-8 times coming out of a bar at 3am the previous night

No prob, I went through the same thing. PITA, Missed a day of work, But better than replacing the starter.Happy to hear that it was a simple fix.:cheers:
